Breastfeeding on protocol

Dear Stephen,
It’s possible I have lyme (I haven’t been diagnosed yet). I was bit a month ago. I am nursing a 10-month-old. Which herbs can I safely take while breastfeeding and are there any herbs that will help protect the baby or do I just assume the baby is going to come down with it? Would the dosages for me be the same as the ones in your book?

Stephen’s response:
Please check the contraindications in my book Healing Lyme, most herbs will pass through your body in the breast milk. I would highly suggest you immediately begin taking astragalus—it is very safe. Take 1000-4000 mg 3x daily. Cat’s claw is good at this point as well as low-dosing knotweed (resveratrol) with 1 capsule 3x daily.
Stephen
