Core protocol causes insomnia?

Dear Stephen,
I have been doing the core protocol from your Healing Lyme book for about 4 weeks now. I have noticed that since starting the program, sleep has become increasingly difficult. Before embarking on this protocol, my sleep was consistently good. I was wondering if any of the herbs in your protocol (andrographis, Japanese knotweed, cat’s claw) could cause or contribute to disrupted sleep. Or is it more likely that my insomnia is cause by a die-off of lyme bacteria? I have not noticed an increase in or emergence of any other lyme symptoms since starting this protocol.

Stephen’s response:
No one has ever mentioned this before but that doesn’t mean it can’t occur from the herbs. Sorry to hear this, you might try some of the herbs in the book for insomnia and perhaps they can counteract whatever is happening.
Stephen
